                 TRANSPORTATION
                                             BUS/TRAIN

GOOD SIDES

-Trains and busses goes almost anywhere, trains even go to Denmark, Norway and Finland
-Enviromental (uses less energy then cars and Swedes know that Sweden gets electricty from clean sources)
-Stations make it easy to see when the next one will arrive (timetables all over stations)

-Train stations make it easy to buy tickets (bus tickets you buy on the bus)
-Since 2010 in Skåne the trains have tvs showing commercials, news, weather...
-Trains are clean (busses can be somewhat clean)
-Cards that make it easy to pay (Either buy a monthly card or a card you just add money to)

In skåne you can buy a monthly card for 1150:- (about $150) where you can travel as many times you want around all of Skåne for a month, in the summer time you can huy a card that in 2012 costs 550:- (about $72) and works between 15 june to 15 august or just buy a normal card where you add money to
All the three cards work on all busses and trains
-Bigger train stations usually have elevators
-Here in Skåne most cities, towns and villages with a population of over 500 people have either a bus or train system but I would guess up in the north of Sweden they don`t have it to the same degree
-In Skåne if the train or bus is more then 20 min late you can send in your ticket and they will send you a pass where you can travel anywhere in Skåne for free for one whole day (pass works on all trains and busses)
-The metro in Stockholm has been called the longest art gallery in the world

BAD SIDES
-It is cheaper to fly from Malmö to Stockholm then to take the train
-When trains come from the north to the south they are almost always late (over one hour) so if you need to change train it sucks
-If you forget to get a ticket before you go on the train you have to pay about 800:- (about $104)
-It depends where you are but usually trains and busses don`t go between 02:00-05:00

-Stockholm metro: "The cost of graffiti and other types of vandalism has been calculated at approximately SEK 100 million per year" Source

                                              STREETCARS
In some cities like Stockholm they still have streetcars (spårvagnar)
                                                     CARS
Unlike what some people think most Swedes do not drive electric cars
It is very expensive to learn how to drive, about 15.000:- (about $2142) unless you buy the books and study at home
