Around 1975 the politicians changed politics and opened up the border for thousand of immigrants WITHOUT asking the Swedish people
I do not know how many they let in at first but between 2000-2011 over 60.000 immigrants/year came to Sweden and even if many immigrants who come to Sweden and get EU membership move to other countries where jobs are easier to find many immigrants do stay here where they make new ghettos and live on welfare

Back in the 1980s and 1990s many national parties were formed but they never got past 4% of all the votes though they did enter some municipalities
In 1991 Ny Demokrati was formed and 6 month later when the elections started the party managed to get 6.7% of the votes
It was the first national/anti immigration party to get over 4%
The party was never able to change anything and in 1994 with the new elections Ny Demokrati did not get 4%

"The party ceased to exist when it was declared bankrupt on 25 February 2000. Laholm city council representative Elver Åkesson retained his seat until the 2002 elections, the last active member of the party to hold office.[17] "New Democracy" was founded again in April 2002 under a new organisational registration,[18] and attempted to run for the 2002 elections, but received a mere 106 votes nationwide.[19] The party's website was shut down in March 2005"

Another party called Sverigedemokraterna were formed in the 1980s and like many national parties they got few votes, came in to some municipalities but other then that not much happened
In the late 1990s the party became more "normal", they toned down the racist image... even thought they were still strongly against the immigration system and so on
What happened was that more and more people started to vote for SD so the media and goverment tried to ignore the party
They were never allowed on tv, radio... and if the media did talk about SD they always had to say that SD was a racist party who hates all immigrants
when this was not true
In 2010 elections SD for the first time got
5.7% (over 4%) so because of it the media could not deny the party any more and had to include them on all tv shows, radios... just like any other politicala party

So what about the neo-nazis?

In Sweden at least it was like it is in many countries where neo-nazi groups show up when more and more immigrants enter the country
Withing 10 years most neo-nazi groups are gone and the few that stay almost always tone down the way they dress/act to get more votes

The group Vitt Ariskt Motstånd did do some horrible things but most neo-nazi groups are just made up of people who join to feel like they belong while they talk alot about killing the goverment yet doing nothing of what they say Neo-nazi groups do attack immigrants/gay people but overall they do nothing that affects the country as a whole

The big neo-nazi era in Sweden was mostly in the 1990s (around 1995)
